ചെകുത്താന്‍ വേദാന്തമോതുന്നു

സീ പീ എം അക്രമത്തിനെതിരെ കെ പീ സീ സീ പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ രമേശ്‌ ചെന്നിത്തല ഒരു ഉപവാസം  വടകരയില്‍ നടത്തി സ്വയം പരിഹാസ്യനായി. മനോരമയും മാതൃഭൂമിയും വിവിധ ചാനലുകളും എല്ലാം സീ പീ എം അക്രമത്തിനെതിരെ മുറവിളി കൂട്ടുകയും പൊടിപ്പും തൊങ്ങലും വച്ച് പല പല വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍        പടച്ചു വിടുമ്പോഴും കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാരും ആര്‍ എസ് എസ് കാറും കൊല ചെയ്ത സീ പീ എം -എസ് എഫ് ഐ -ഡീ വൈ എഫ് ഐ ക്കാരെപറ്റി ഇവര്‍ മൌനം ഭജിക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാണ് കാണുന്നത്. 

മേല്‍പ്പറഞ്ഞ  പാര്‍ടിക്കാര്‍  നടത്തിയ കൊല പാതകങ്ങള്‍ ക്കെതിരെ എന്ത് കൊണ്ടു ഇവര്‍ പ്രതിഷേധിക്കുനില്ല?കൊല്ലപെപ്ടുന്നവര്‍സീപീഎംകാര്‍ ആണെങ്കില്‍ അതിനെ അപലപിക്കേന്റെ ന്നാണോ  ഇവരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം?

മറ്റു പാര്ടിക്കാരാല്‍ നിരവധി സീ പീ എം - എസ് എഫ് ഐ- ഡീ വൈ എഫ് കാര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍
 ഒരു കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്‌ നേതാവും ഇവിടെ അക്രമത്തിനു എതിരായി നിരാഹാരം നടത്തിയതായി അറിവില്ല.
കൊല പാതകം ആര് നടത്തിയാലുംഅപലപി ക്കേന്ടതല്ലേ ? ഈ കൊലപാതകങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നപ്പോഴോന്നും
സംസ്കാര നായകന്മാര്‍ പ്രതികരിക്കാത്തത് എന്ത് കൊണ്ടു എന്ന ചോദ്യം ആരും ഉയര്‍ത്തി കണ്ടില്ല.

എന്നാല്‍ ആര്‍ എം പി നേതാവ് ടീ പീ ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍ മാത്രം ഇതിനും മാത്രം കോലാഹലം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിന്റെ പിന്നിലെ ചേതോവികാരം എന്താണെന്ന് സാമാന്യ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാവുന്നതെയുള്ള്. അത് മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല സീ പീ എമ്മിനെ പ്രതി സ്ഥാനത് നിര്‍ത്തി അപവാദ പ്രചാരണംനടത്തുകഅത്രമാത്രം.. ഇതിന്റെ ഗൂഡ ഉദ്ദേശം ഈ പ്രശ്നം  നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കര  ഇലെക്ഷനില്‍   ജയിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി ഉപയോഗിക്കുക എന്നത്രേ. അല്ലാതെ ചന്ദ്ശേഖരനോടുസ്നേഹം കൊണ്ടല്ലഎന്നത്ഏതുകുഞ്ഞിനുംഅറിയാവുന്നകാര്യമത്രേ.വടകരയില്‍അക്രമതിനെതിരായി ഉപവാസംഅനുഷ്ടിക്കുനതിനുമുന്പായിചെന്നിത്തലഉപവാസം അനുഷ്ടിക്കേന്ടത് ഇടുക്കിയിലായിരുന്നു.  അവിടെ ഏതാനുംമാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്മുന്‍പ്ഡീവൈഎഫ്ഐനേതാവ്അനീഷ്‌ രാജനെ  യൂത്ത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്‌ ഗുണ്ടകള്‍ കൊലചെയ്ത സംഭവം ചെന്നിത്തല അറിഞ്ഞില്ലെന്നുണ്ടോ?ആ കൊലയാളികള്‍ ഇത്  വരെയായി അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. അപ്പോള്‍ ചെന്നിത്തല ആടിനെ പട്ടിയാക്കുകയാനെന്നു വ്യക്തം. 

1967-മുതല്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്‌- കെ എസ യു ഗുണ്ടകള്‍ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ ചില സീ പീ എം- എസ് എഫ് ഐ-ഡീ വൈ എഫ് ഐ ക്കാരുടെ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ താഴെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

1.    സീ പീ കരുണാകരന്‍, സീ പീ എം പ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍, കുറ്റൂര്‍, കണ്ണൂര്‍ 

    കോണ്‍ഗ്രസുകാര്‍  1967 സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍  11  -നു കുത്തി കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി

2.    കെ. കുഞ്ഞാലി, നിലമ്പൂര്‍ 

തോട്ടം തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ സമുന്നത നേതാവും സീ പീ എം എം എല്‍ എയും ആയിരുന്ന കെ കുഞ്ഞാലിയെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാരന്‍ വെടി വച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി. നമ്മുടെ നിമയ വ്യവസ്ഥയുടെ വിചിത്ര സ്വഭാവം കാരണം കൊലയാളി ശിക്ഷയില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.

3.      പീ കെ അബ്ദുല്‍ ഖാദര്‍, സീ പീ എം നേതാവ്, കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര്‍ 

ഓഗസ്റ്റ്‌    1971 -നു കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ നിന്ന് രാജി വച്ച് സീ പീ എമ്മില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന്. സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍    -17-നു  കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാരാല്‍  കൊല ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു

4.     അഹമു, സീ പീ എം പ്ര വര്തകന്‍, കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര്‍  

പീ കെ അബ്ദുല്‍ ഖാടരിനോറൊപ്പം കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാര്‍  1971 സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍17  -നു വെടി വെച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി.

8.     ജീ ഭൂവനേശ്വരന്‍, എസ്എഫ് ഐ നേതാവ് , ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ല 

എം എല്‍ എ കെഎസ് യു ക്കാര്‍ 1977 ഡിസംബര്‍ മാസം   സീ പീ എം നേതാവുമായ ജീ സുധാകരന്റെ ഇളയ സഹോദരന്‍  ജീ ഭൂവനെശ്വരനെ മൃഗീയമായി കുത്തി കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി.      .

9.          സൈതാലി ,എസ് എഫ് ഐ നേതാവ്, പട്ടാമ്പി സംസ്കൃത കോളേജ്

       കെ എസ് യു- എ വീ ബീ പീ-ക്കാര്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് 1979     ഫെബ്രുവരി   24 -നു കുതികൊലപ്പെടുതി

10.   പീ കെ രാജന്‍, എസ്  എഫ് ഐ . നേതാവ്, ആയുര്‍വേദ കോളേജ്, തൃപ്പൂനിതുര

മേലെ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള കൊലപാതകങ്ങള്‍ കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാരോ കെ എസ് യു ക്കാരോ നേരിട്ടോ മറ്റുള്ളവരുമായി കൂട്ട് ചേര്‍ന്നോ1967 മുതല്‍  ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്‌. ഇത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാര്‍ നടത്തിയ കൊലപാതകങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍ണ ലിസ്ടല്ല മേല്‍ പറഞ്ഞ കൊലപാതകങ്ങളില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ 34  പേരാണ് ഇനിയുംകോണ്‍ഗ്രെസ്സ്കാരുറെ ആക്രമണങ്ങളില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ  പലരുടെയും വിവരങ്ങള്‍ ലഭ്യമായിട്ടില്ല

ഈ   34   പേരെ നിഷ്ടൂരമായി കൊല ചെയ്തവരാണ് സീ പീ എം അക്രമതിനെതിരായി ഗാന്ധി തൊപ്പി അണിഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടു കപട ഉപവാസം നടത്തുന്നത്. ഇതിനെ ചെകുത്താന്‍വേദാന്തമോതുന്നതിനോടെ മാത്രമേ  ഉപമിക്കുവാന്‍ പറ്റുകയുള്ളു

ചേര്‍ത്തല താലൂക്കില്‍ എന്റെ ചെറുപ്പം മുതല്‍ ഞാന്‍ കേട്ട് പോന്ന ഒരു പഴം ചൊല്ല് ഓര്‍മ്മ വരുന്നു. അത് മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല "രണ്ടു കാലിലും മന്തുള്ളവന്‍  തന്റെ രണ്ടു കാലുകളും   മണ്ണില്‍  പൂഴ്ത്തി വച്ച് ഒരു കാലില്‍ മന്തുള്ള ആളെ മന്താ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു എന്ന്.". ഇതാണ് യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ ഉമ്മന്‍ ചാണ്ടിയും ചെന്നിത്തലയും മറ്റു യു ഡീ എഫ് നേതാക്കളും ഒക്കെ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. 

വടകരയില്‍ ഉപവാസം തുടങ്ങുന്നതിനു മുന്പായി ചെന്നിത്തല   മലര്‍ന്നു കിടന്നു തുപ്പിയാല്‍ എന്ത് സംഭവിക്കും എന്ന്. ഓര്‍ക്കണമായിരുന്നു. അത് ഓര്‍ത്തിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ മുന്‍പില്‍ അപഹാസ്യനാകുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു

SIDDHA VAIDYA TREATMENT – A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

 Siddha Vaidya  is a typical method of  treatment which is being done as hereditary by generation after generation.  And this process continues through generation after generation.  During olden days there were many famous Siddha Vaidyas in Kerala who were experts in treating  complicated ailments and cure them. Their successors are now keeping their  mantle.  But majority of the people in our State isnot aware of the effectiveness of this system of  treatment and are relying upon   solely on allopathic treatment for any ailment.

Many years back I had taken my daughter to an  allopathic doctor for treatment of  dislocation of knee.  She had first developed this problem while participating  in some running competition at the school.  This had re-occurred many times causing limping and swelling of knees.  On consulting the  doctor at a private hospital nearby, I was advised  that the only remedy for the same is surgery.  She had experienced the same complication  once in a while for more than a year. The following year she had to go to Trivandrum  District for higher studies. 

It was a mere coincidence that at that time  I had come across a report on hereditary Siddha Vaidyas appearing  in a weekly.  In that report the details regarding Siddha Vaidya treatment clinic at a village in Vizhinjam, Trivandrum District of Kerala  were given.  That Vaidya was brother of Shakthan Nadar the present MLA who happened to be a Minister at that time. I took my daughter to his clinic in  Vizhinjam for consultation.  He had given some medicines to be taken as also for external application.  He has advised for a  treatment lasting 3 months for total recovery.  However, my daughter could only take treatment for hardly 1 ½ months from his clinic.  This was due to the fact that the clinic was situated in an area where there was a den of anti-social elements and on seeing my daughter going to the clinic and returning every week , some people in the vicinity had cautioned her against visiting that area  frequently from safety point of view. 

Though she  had  to discontinue the treatment when it was half way through and was under treatment of   that Siddha Vaidya  only for 1 ½ months instead of 3 months, to our utter disbelief and surprise  she had completely recovered from the problem of dislocation of knee by that treatment and did not experience the same problem any more.

HOME SICK? WHAT IS IT?

What is homesick?  It cannot be defined in a word.  It is a feeling.  It is rather a feeling of longing.  It is a feeling of loneliness.  It is a feeling of emptiness of mind.  It is a feeling of sorrow.  It is an urge to be with one’s near and dear ones.  It is a feeling better experienced than explained. This feeling emanates in one’s mind when he or she is away from the near and dear ones.  While in the case of a bachelor or spinster, the dear and near ones are parents, brothers and sisters, in the case of married persons, it also includes  wife, husband and  children as the case may be.

Many people are forced to leave their near and dear ones and go to farflung  places to take up jobs or on business purpose..  Once they are away from their dear and near ones, they develop a sense of  feeling of homesickness.  Are all the  people susceptible to homesickness?  The answer is a big ‘NO”.  Only those who love his or her native place and have got attachment to one’s near and dear ones are susceptible to such a feeling.  The main characteristic of homesickness is nothing but lonliness which will be nagging like anything.  Being homesick can also result not only in loss of  appetite but also interest in everything including  routine affairs..  It can also affect one’s sleep.

I recollect those days when I had to go  to Orissa in search of a job in late 60s.  At that time I felt homesick for the first time in my life.  During the period of 6 months of my stay there, I was homesick throughout .  I could not secure a job due to parochialism and hence finally decided to return to Kerala.  Then as ill luck would have it, I fell ill which further ignited my homesickness which remained till I returned to Kerala.

I was again under the grip of homesickness while I worked at Delhi from late 60s.  This had prompted me to visit my native place atleast twice a year.  Nevertheless, every time on return from leave, I used to remain homesick for days together culminating in a feeling that I am not well physically.  When consulted, the doctor could not find anything wrong with me and diagnosed my disease as ‘chronic homesickness’.  His advice was to get married immediately as a remedy and told me or else I will have to remain under such condition for ever. This had prompted me to raise the demand to my parents to initiate action for my marriage.  As a matter of fact homesickness was the sole reason for my getting married at an younger age.

Even after marriage I used to feel homesick at times whenever my wife or children are away from me or vice versa.

DEFEATING DREDFUL DISEASES LIKE CANCER BY WILLPOWER

When a person is infected with a dreaded disease, general tendency is that he or she gets very mentally upset and worried. It will prove to be a rude shock for that person leading to physical and mental weakness and tension. Nevertheless, there have been many instances wherein persons infected with such diseases getting cured solely due to willpower and courage. One of the cases in point is that of Smt.Leela Menon, the renowned journalist who fell prey to cancer and got cured due to sheer willpower. 

In this connection the case of one of my relations who had got infected with lung cancer needs special mention here. His name of the person  is SC Nair, a retired officer of Central Intelligence Bureau hailing from Gandhi Nagar, Vazhuthakkad, Trivandrum.  He happens to be my son-in-law’s father. It started with high fever which was not getting cured inspite of  medication. Ultimately it turned out to be a case of lung cancer.  It is ironical that he got infected with lung cancer he being a non-smoker notwithstanding. It is characteristic  of  cancer to spread to many parts of the body by the time it is detected. In his case also things were not different.  It is a fact that as compared to other types of cancer, lung cancer is most severe as those affected cannot survive for more than 2 years. However, in his case this assumption proved to be wrong. As soon as it was established that he is infected with lung cancer he has faced the situation with absolute courage without nurturing  an iota of feeling that he is a patient; the first thing he has done was to buy a book on cancer and read it thoroughly to acquaint himself with the various features of cancer including lung cancer. When I met him while he was undergoing treatment I was surprised to find him talking in detail about various aspects of cancer.

Ultimately he was able to get cured of cancer completely due to his willpower and decisiveness and has been leading a normal life since then. Apparently people like him is a role model and inspiration for those suffering from dreaded disease like cancer to face it courageously and defeat it.
